Baron99   798 #3 Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) He wrote a piece for the i newspaper a few weeks before Christmas, saying that he'd taken badly & had a fall, while doing his one man show at the Edinburgh Festival, last summer.  He wrote that he had to endure travel by ambulance from Edinburgh, where he was hospitalised to his local hospital, Papworth but he was looking forward to getting up & about again, even though he was in his mid 90's but he said that his age, while the mind was still sharp, the body takes longer to recover.  I see that he died in Papworth.  I'll miss him on Just a Minute. Edited January 28, 2020 by Baron99
 Share this content via...

wearysmith   141 #10 Posted January 29, 2020 Anyone see his stint on The Rocky Horror Show? Very funny and totally unexpected. Never met him, but I think I'd have warmed to the guy. Very personable.
 Share this content via...
