Initial reports didn't get into the other passengers, it's all very sad.

Apparently is was foggy, even theLAPD police grounded their helicopters as conditions did not meet the standards for flying.

 

What I fail to understand, surely someone on that ill fated helicopter, be it the pilot or owner (Kobe) or passengers, should have had common sense to make a decision that it is not safe to fly?!

 

If I was supposed to fly on that chopper, and saw the foggy conditions, I'd be saying  "the hell if I am getting on that damn thing in these conditions!"

 

Now 9 lives are gone.

I'm sure there's a fair amount of speculation regarding the cause but I read (I think on the BBC) that there was a malfunction with the helicopter. I mean it would be irresponsible to fly in fog, but I doubt it would cause a helicopter to fall out of the sky.

I too have never heard of him, and cannot understand why it is such major news here in the uk
