Noticed work has started here again and the front has been opened out.

As well as the cost of buying the plot which was quite a bit from memory it seems a lot of work will need to be done to make it into something usable.

does anyone know what is going to be?

I believe it's going to sell desserts, and have a roof terrace area (hence why the trees above it have unfortunately been felled). The planning app for it can be found here

Thanks for that. It’s not something I’ll probably use but good to see an old derelict unit coming back into use.

Looks great. I can't see the bit about a roof terrace on the drawings, but that would be good.

Yes sorry the roof terrace was added in a later application (below)

I note however that the building control application was rejected in Nov last year so I don't know where things stand at the moment.

It looks like work has maybe restarted here? Good luck to them it’s a lot of effort and cost. I hope it’s worth it. Could be a great addition.

How long before people are moaning when buses can't get to the stop due to the cars of customers? Parking on Commonside is already ridiculous.

I remember when it cost £50 to go into public toilets and they were only available on the Moon 🤷‍♂️
