burghley   10 #7 Posted January 10, 2020 Got return to Bridlington for 40p, and Lincoln the day they became available. Nice little treat for other half and I for the weekend to get away. Janus   28 #8 Posted January 11, 2020 @Andy C Are the carriages really full, with some passengers standing too on these journeys?
 Share this content via...

Hopefully Northern have got that right - it can always be difficult to predict how many people will turn up on the day on flexible walk up tickets.  On 09/01/2020 at 17:02, Jeffrey Shaw said: Of course, the tickets assume the continued existence of Northern Rail- but see BBC News today at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-51048896 . its a franchise so the tickets will remain valid  -------  Well, I managed to get a couple of trips booked at promotional prices. Day out in Manchester from Dore & Totley station for 20p return and a day out in Hebden Bridge from Sheffield station for £5.90 return (£5.80 advance single there and 10p single back). Both bargains, especially as I was planning on going to Manchester for the beer festival regardless!
