Netflix Email Scam?

I received a mail this morning that had in the header Netflix Thank you! There was a code and a large image of Netflix saying get a free year of Netflix, I have never subscribed to Netflix and saw that the email address was greyed out but you could read it and it was from tekrunpro. I am always suspicious of mails I know nothing about and don't open them, I am thinking it could be a scam and to get the free year you may have to enter personal details along with the code supplied. So I am just posting this as a heads up, like I say I have never signed up with Netflix and a search on tekrunpro came up with nothing.

 

Have just had an online chat with Netflix and was asked to forward the mail to them as it was not from a Netflix id.

TekRunPro - It's a dot.com domain registered to an individual in India.

 

The registrar for the domain is GoDaddy.com

 

You would be be wise to email them a copy of the email to [email protected]. 

 

If they agree that it violates their T&Cs they will terminate the domain and blacklist the user.

Cheers for that information Resident, like I said I did a search for the name but nothing came up. I forwarded the mail to Netflix phishing address as they requested then deleted the mail.
