taxman 12 #7 Posted December 15, 2019 When I first came to Sheffield I was shocked that buses were going to Genocide. Intake and Halfway also had me puzzled.
 Share this content via...
RollingJ 2,042 #8 Posted December 15, 2019 @melvI think this is bad programming of the onboard system when some routes changed operator a while back - it was reported early on, but I'm amazed it hasn't been corrected yet, they've had long enough. Out of curiosity, which route/bus company?
 Share this content via...
Andy C 86 #9 Posted December 15, 2019 (edited) I was under the impression Powells had finally corrected the mistakes on their destination displays, the two notables being "Manner Top" and "Healey" both on route 10/10a. Powells, based in Rotherham, used to be an independent family owned bus and coach company but is now owned by Hackney Community Transport (HCT) and recently won a load of Sheffield tendered bus service contracts, many at the expense of Sheffield Community Transport and TM Travel. Thanks for that - I did read it at the time, but couldn't remember the operator/route. TBH, I'm not surprised they haven't corrected them yet, their whole operation looks to be run on a shoe-string. Bilge 34 #11 Posted December 15, 2019 I've seen this one too. Although on the face of it a minor thing it's symptomatic of the fact the bus companies don't care about the idea of service.
 Share this content via...
