THIS IS NOT TO BECOME ANOTHER BREXIT OR GENERAL ELECTION THREAD.

THANK YOU.

I would agree about Sturgeon, we appear to have got the politicians we deserve now, it has been coming for a while,  you could have put Farage in there and he would have probably put himself across well comparatively  too, maybe more Nationalism and a break up of the Union as well as proportional representation after leaving the EU will be the eventual outcome of all the nonsense after all lol

I posted in the wrong thread. I posted this just before Johnson...

Blimey Jo Swinson is getting smashed on QT Sheffield.

Cringeworthy. Mind you, Fiona Bruce fired a few loaded bullets at her :hihi:

I wasn't expecting to like Sturgeon, but she came across very well, I thought.

Now finished watching it.

I think that's the end for Lib Dems. That was worse than bad. She came across badly, the audience didn't clap for anything, and she lost confidence and control of that whole thing.

I know Fiona Bruce corrected a few things, and didn't let any of them off lightly, but at the time, I thought right at the beginning when Swinson was 'warming up' as it were, Bruce quickly fired some harsh shots at her very early on. ''You say you want this and that, but in 20** you voted in favour of this, and this , and this. 3 shots in one!

I never thought I'd say it, but out of those 4, I would pick Sturgeon as PM :hihi:

There'll be some Labour members tonight popping champers. Corbyn was better than I expected, and Boris was exactly as I expected.

I think much more chance of a large coalition to out the Tories. (if many people saw that)

I think if you ran a presidential-type election, sturgeon would stroll it, Ruth Davidson, second. Im hoping (no more than that) she’ll get independence and I’m on her side of the border if it happens.

I dont know why theyre just, well, better. They’re measured, more truthful (not perfect) and credit the electorate with a bit of common sense.

Yes, I wouldn't argue that.

Maybe they're under less pressure, with less to lose. I like Sturgeon and thought she did well but I think Corbyn did well too. I think she'd work well with Corbyn, even outside a pact.

There’s a grain of truth in the first bit I think. She’s got holyrood and come the next election, a huge majority of scottish seats will be SNP. Blair and thatcher had the same sort of swagger with big majorities as well.

Im not sure how she’d get on with corbyn. He faffs about too much, I’m not sure she’d have the patience.

Was lucky enough to be in the Question time audience. Boris has lost some weight, felt like asking him, with all this spending, whether he would be buying a new suit

Errrrmmmm that's not a question !

Interestingly in the Question time special I just witnessed, here in the socialist republic, old Jezza got more of a rough ride than Boris !

Yay, up the working class :partyhat:

Farage had his own 'show' all to himself (sorry can't remember when it was on, but it was prime time,) and yes, he did very well, answering loads of questions from a studio audience succinctly and I thought with authority. He certainly knows his stuff. This man should be included in any future EU /UK negotiations. Whatever his political affiliations, It would be a pity to waste his insider knowledge and skills.

No,😊 Nigel Farage started this whole Brexit thing off. He plays it hard ball, he's tough, doesn't faff about with nicities, and knows where all the bodies are buried. I think he'd be an assett in any negotiating team.

I was lucky to get a ticket for this event as asked in the opening post of this thread for ideas for questions

Then about 7 mins before broadcast started i was told i would be the opening questioner..

theres lots of articles and videos circulating now about bbc bias as to the audience selection

I personally thought it was balanced perhaps with a little left swing though hardly suprising if the audience was sheffield/south yorks based

though there were a lot of scots there

What did you think ChrisLB?

What did suprise me was the amount of heckling and booing going on that wasnt heard on broadcast
