Joker Film Analysis

I thought it was excellent, more so that it was a comic book film and is completely different to the regular fare for this genre.

Phoenix's performance was brilliant and will get a rightly earned Oscar nomination.

My only trepidation is that a squeal is being much talked about and I just can't fathom how they'd ever follow the first?

Could be none of it really happened, it was all in his mind.

Often his henchmen have also been psychiatric patients, so it's a good opportunity to further develop the relationship with society and mental health issues.

He becomes the villain and leader of people that the general public have ignored/rejected and cast aside due to their personal problems.

They already used that plot device though, with the relationship he had with the neighbour being just a delusion.

It wasn't 100% from his perspective, so it wouldn't make sense if they tried that.

Interesting symposia, and one I could agree with, but the film displays more subtleties than a regular mass moron film release.  I think the film displays more subtlety than that.
