It’s probably the start of a fairly short journey to a 9 point deduction. I can’t see that we have much of a defence really. 
 

It’s not the end of the world. We still won’t go down and we aren’t good enough to go up anyway.

 

We won’t be the last club either. It’s time that the FL had a good look at p+s in the context of huge parachute payments. The Championship is becoming a ridiculous league.

Chansari has been stupid/arrogant though in thinking that the EFL would let him get away with claiming he bought Hillsborough in 2017 when  land registry documents proved otherwise.

I’m not sure he’s being stupid, or arrogant. Just desperate, because he’d run out of options

Most of these sort of issues seem to come from Championship clubs. Summat not reyt.

He’s not the sort to take advice. That’s the root of the problem.

 

There is definitely summat not reyt about the way that p+s restricts some clubs, whilst parachute payments assist others. That needs looking at.

It should never have come to having to sell the ground.

Had a sensible transfer policy been in place from the off,wed be solvent.The sale of the ground is just a sticking plaster,theres still bills to pay and we are accruing debt as each month passes.What will he sell next season?The training ground,naming rights.

Won't listen to advice. Isn't that why businesses and organisations pay lawyers and accountants etc to make sure you're ok and keeping within the law.

What's " p+s" mate ?

 

i think football lost it's  soul a long time ago. For example away clubs used to get a percentage of the gate money,  so if you were Burnley playing at OT for example you would get something like 15% of a 50,000 crowd. That didn't suit the Man Utd's, Liverpool's and Everton who got huge crowds, they wanted all the money. A small illustration of how the  " haves" have always looked after themselves.

 

You've now ended up with a six or seven super club elite in England, who take European competition as a birthright.

They stop Wednesday, Leeds, Forest Derby etc from spending money. Meanwhile the parachute payments allow clubs like Villa to chuck money at it.

 

No complaints about the sanctions against Wednesday, as they knew the rules. The rules are a nonsense though and need changing
