To repeat one of the above...

 

Use the council. I think you get one free per year if you rent from them or about £30 if not (don't quote me on the price)

 

I used them a while back and they had an "up to" amount of items for the price. If you have other things that you need to get rid of, do it it one go and save a few quid.

Aren't they flame resistant these days, the last one I bought was.

Its one free collection of up to 12 items per year for council tenants, unlimited collections for Sanctuary tenants (I was told this over the phone earlier this year).
Then £22.50 for private tenants/home owners for 1-3 items.
They collect within 7 working days and have a set collection day per area.

I cant find any reference to it online so maybe its changed, but round spring / early summertime this year I had 3 collections in the space of maybe 3 months.

Sanctuarys online info is a bit hit and miss so I'll call them. Nothing lost if it's changed but a nice bonus if it still applies 😉
