This is NOT to become a second Brexit thread.

Thank you.

Now Javid is bidding for a place on the show with his claims that the Tories have reduced homelessness😂 but Boris retains his position by repeatedly barking  that we have 7 days to get Brexit done.🤣.

Think he is confusing days with years.

The MP's Expenses Scandal left very few MPs with a satisfactory reputation.

What you really mean is some, very few, did wrong; but you dont know which ones so you just see them all as on the take?

Lies, damned lies and Boris...

Anyone who supports this liar, this cheat, this misogynist, this racist can only count themselves in the same camp.

We should not be giving this sort of abhorrent person a platform, but thankfully, we are not a dictator state yet - although we could well be if he gets in - but as we are not we give him a platform to peddle his lies.

The MP's Expenses Scandal left very few MPs with a satisfactory reputation. They were nearly all at it. It ranged from morally dubious to outright criminal but very few MPs were prosecuted, which did a lot to destroy the public's view of justice and the honourability of House of Commons. (Jeremy Corbyn, incidently, had the lowest expenses of all of them. An honest man.)

No. He really did not. This is fake news that keeps doing the rounds and a good reason to fact check things - which with the modern whizzy internet is easy...

https://www.quora.com/Is-Jeremy-Corbyn-s-expenses-record-the-most-notably-honest-in-history-of-the-British-Parliament

"In fact, interestingly his expenses record is significantly worse than Theresa May’s. If you look at http://www.mpsexpenses.info you’ll find she actually claimed less than Corbyn every single year since 2010, "

Now I dont think Corbyn was necessarily doing anything wrong. But it certainly wasn't the lowest....

Friday 6th ------4-2 to the Conservatives

The papers

The Mail jumps on the defections from the Farage camp: “Brexit party bigwigs urge: vote Boris”.

The Express - “Boris fury”, “new Corbyn plot to fiddle Brexit” letting two million EU citizens vote in a second referendum.

The Telegraph devotes a full front page, and four pages inside, to the “Labour antisemitism storm”.

Metro - “Oven ready and set to grill” –,  on Johnson saying he likes oven chips and his Brexit deal only needs a reheat.

The Times - “Brexit party defectors urge Farage to withdraw”

The i says it is “Crunch time for Corbyn” as it runs an interview with the leader.

The Mirror - Others delight in Neil’s throwdown to Johnson: “How can anyone trust him?”

The Guardian sounds the alarm over “The rising toll of measles” with 10m cases and 142,000 deaths recorded worldwide. The Sun has “Hero on parole” about the fire-extinguisher man in the London Bridge attack.

The FT gives its picture slot to the French strikes – its lead story is the float of Saudi Aramco.

More anti-Semitism problems for Corbyn & the Labour Party.  Clearly folk still believe his apologies are to little to late & his acolytes get get away with speaking as they like.

While some may have questioned the Chief Rabbi's credibility by pointing out that he is close to Johnson, I doubt anyone can throw such accusations against members of the Jewish Labour Movement.

Channel 4 editorial suite - listening back to a Boris interview:

"Hey if we muffle this and put wrong subtitles on, we can make it look like he says 'people of colour' rather than people of talent"

"Yeah, run with it, that'll teach Boris for not turning up last week."

Then other news organisations release a nice crisp clear version of it.

was just gonna post about this in my quest for honesty, which we seem to have lost, and democracy which seems to be going down the pan with all these lies :(

sadly, even though im not a boris fan (i cant trust a single word that comes out of this governments mouth, seems his US brexit envoy cant either, but thats a different story). This stories actions at trying to "clumisly" distort things paints the anti Boris / Tories movement in a very bad light.
