Political cowardice in the wake of the discredited 2016 referendum. Not only would revoking Article 50 be the quickest way to end this nonsense, it will also be the most democratic, as it would reflect the wishes of the majority of citizens as reflected in endless polls since 2016 and the €uro elections earlier this year. Was going to reply but took note of the heading about it not becoming a brexit thread, maybe you should do as well...  1 hour ago, horribleblob said: The leaflets say "Jo Swinson", not "Jo Swindon". If you're going to accuse others of lying, at least get it right.  Don't you just love the British electorate? No, I just love how people take a simple spelling mistake and use it as ammo against a poster. Not really as the poster could be easily be dyslexic and the context of the post was quite easily seen and read despite the mistake and also the reply.  BTW. Just to add Jo Swinson's Lib Dems may get several more MPs but bearing in mind they only have 11 it would take a miracle (thank God) for her to upp that number to anything significant. Correct again, you are doing well tonight apelike, any extra seats (If at all) the Lib Dems get, is a seat less for the tory's, well worth a punt. 😉
 Share this content via...

That’s pretty rude actually.  It is common courtesy to refer to someone by their given name.  Why do you find it acceptable to be so boorish? You are a symptom of everything that is wrong with our politics.
 Share this content via...

It would also mean a seat less for labour which could have the effect of boosting the tory majority. No it wouldn’t.  The size of any potential Tory majority is dependent upon how many seats they win. It doesn’t matter how the other seats are distributed. Jeddo   10 #274 Posted November 7, 2019 Wow ...see live Ian Austin (resigned Lab MP) interview with Kay Burley this morning. Says Corbyn not fit to run country or Lab party, and trad Labour voters should vote Tory in this coming election because although he doesn't agree with all the Toies do, they are fit to run the country, and there are only two real options for PM in this election.  The guy nearly broke down and said he had to be honest about the state of tbe Labour Party now.
