Freeview Retune - Lost Signal

Recommended Posts

Since having to re tune last week my pictures on channels 101,102,103, are breaking up badly.

I have retuned again through the BT box but no improvement.

Signal strength is poor.

Any similar issues or advice please.

Today Sheffield and Belmont are reporting "possible service interruptions"

and Emley Moor "possible weak signal".

Unfortunately I have also done a retune and the box has found some Chesterfield signals, so I will have to retune again this evening.

Chesterfield services are variable

Mine is breaking up also.

I assume the Tech people have it in hand?

Does this affect Sky as my daughter at Longley is getting no signal at all?

My problem was with aerial channels only where I was getting very poor signal quality after re tuning.

Many thanks to Steve at AB Aerials,Loxley Road who solved my problem with a short phone call.

Having re tuned he told me to choose the Yorkshire region rather than SouthYorkshire and the signal strength is  now 100%.

Anyone else lost all the HD channels after re-tuning freeview the other day?  That is on the south yorkshire region, re-tune and select east yorks and Lincolnshire and I get them all back.  Has the South yorks transmitter had it's service cut?

There was a thread a couple of days ago that mentioned one of the transmitters hasn't been working properly. So it's likely linked to that.

See other thread.

I lost all on default South York’s but then advised to select Yorkshire.

Solved my problem
