Rollypolly   51 #2 Posted October 25, 2019 Yes, it gets very busy there. It could do with traffic lights on the junctions of the roundabout itself rather than set back away from it. Just my opinion.
 Share this content via...
smithy266   21 #3 Posted October 25, 2019 (edited) I think some motorists may think the red lights on the pedestrian crossing are for cars coming from Bradway Edited October 25, 2019 by smithy266
 Share this content via...
Centrepin   0 #4 Posted October 25, 2019 Too many traffic lights in Sheffield anyway.  What people need to do, is learn to drive. Not learn to pass the rather basic and easy driving test.  Defensive driving, unrushed, unhurried and plenty of observation, actually read the road ahead. Try and show respect for other users, despite what moronic actions they may take. Also look at the prevailing weather and road conditions and drive accordingly. Agreed. It's a really easy roundabout and the new crossing with the lights is simple...people just need to learn not to pull out infront of people and assume that they'll stop. foxydebs   36 #7 Posted October 26, 2019 You forgot fire brigade, cutting cars up.
 Share this content via...
hardworker   10 #8 Posted October 26, 2019 On the contrary. Thus is not an easy roundabout in the terms that the speed people drive round it. This means when you enter it you have to really accelerate to avoid the cars coming round. Particularly bad at the Norton pub where you have to just go for it to get into the roundabout before cars catch up with you. haddy   10 #9 Posted October 26, 2019 This isn't a hard roundabout at all, the crossings are simple to you and the problems lay with people not reading ahead and expecting people to stop
 Share this content via...
Cyclecar   24 #10 Posted October 26, 2019 I live nearby, and use it frequently. The most difficult approach is from the North, along Meadowhead, and you are wanting to go straight on towards Chesterfield. You are looking at cars joining from your right - Greenhill - as well as those already on the 'inside' of the roundabout. Then a car appears on the 'outside', heading towards Meadowhead, but ( without any indication) keeps turning right towards Bochum Parkway, cutting across your nose. Sometimes said car is on its doorhandles................... Traffic lights won't help, it's driver discipline. Although the re-modelled roundabout has a better sightline now that the spinney has gone. WarPig   75 #12 Posted October 26, 2019 Some of the lane markings are blatantly incorrect on the approach to the roundabout, which doesn't help.
 Share this content via...
