'Clicks & Mortar' - Pinstone Street.

Passing along Pinstone St., today saw the old Maplin's shop has now become 'Clicks & Mortar'. 

 

It's become an outlet for a number of small independent, online retailers, according to the signage on the window.

 

Presumably the retailers benefit from sharing the business rates of premises & other costs. 

 

Good luck to them & so much better than looking at an empty shop.

Tis an Amazon thing to allow online retailers a physical presence.

Shame.  It could be the way forward for some independent retailers to share premises & offer shoppers something different to the generic chain stores.

Shame it's such a small duration, l was shocked it came up in the old Maplins shop, I thought they were keeping hold of their old buildings for some reason as they have never come up for sale.

What happens at the end of the weeks?

 

Clicks & Mortar will be opening up shops on the high streets and shopping centres across the UK. 

 

Maybe retailers will get the chance to move around and set up in other towns & cities. Some lines they sell may be more popular in different parts of the country.
