Remember scrapping bitumin from the cobble sets and rolling it into a ball the top of wood street traffic lights.

Not chestnut man in Pond street (Barry Blacks dad) in the 50,,s

Tag men walking round the streets and you got a goldfish or s balloon for the tags.

Playing on old deralict factories during the slum clearance in upperthorpe/Netherthorpe.

Being able to step off back loader buses when they went that slow between stops.

The Hot Roast Chestnut men around Pinstone street (Many were bad, but it was dark and you didnt notice them). Going to the Hippodrome in the "Gods" or trying to sneek in the Lyceum to watch the Easter Follies.

I can still remember "Trap Door Bloomers."  You have to over a certain age to remember those.

Does Anyone Remember: The French Onion sellers on Bicycles? The Road Sweepers with Horse & Carts on Cobbled Roads?

The Street lamps with actual gas? The Food Ration Books?

What about the bloke that tapped on windows to get people up for work every day with his long stick to reach bedrooms 👽

No they did not have Pockets. They had a buttoned flap at the back for convenience..So they were called "Trap Door Bloomers"

The piano tuner, the chimney sweep and the rag and bone man who gave you a goldfish in return for old clothes.

Or stole your bike from the back yard while you were at school!  B*****d !
