I agree,   I think way back the likes of Laurel and Hardy,  Ben Turpin and then later on Norman Wisdom ect,   all innocent fun had all the kids and even  the grown ups laughing till they nearly fell into the aileways on saturday matinee days and obviously at home aswell  but I couldn't wait for saturday matinee time,  all the kids shouting,  hi ho silver and screaming Mr Grimsdale at the top of their little voices till the were dry then enters the icecream woman armed with Kiora and Straws and Choc Ices ect,    then everybody singing along with Roy Rogers,  a goog laugh,  was jumpin on the back loaders and runnin upstairs shooting each other with our fingers,  GREAT DAYS.

I was watching Parkinson last night and his recollections of the people he as interviewed through the years.

Ive never been a fan of his but there was nothing else on. His son helped him with the programme and it was a good job as Parkinson mumbles his words now so it’s difficult to hear what he says .
