Hull V Wednesday

Recommended Posts

A very poor disjointed performance, we won't win all our away games but need better than that.

Good luck with the 9 point haul 😂

Two poor teams, with the better of them edging it on merit. Wednesday looked impotent up top and probably wouldn't have scored if you added another 90 minutes on top.

Wednesday need fozzi and fletcher desperately, they had nothing in the final third at all.

Commentator made a very valid point as well...Wednesday have the oldest squad in the league and boy does it show. The lack legs and two games in a few days has obviously take its toll. Young blood and fresh legs are a must if you are even considering yourself top 6. On that performance, I wouldnt bank on a top 10 finish.

Hangs on the Wednesday result

Digs out an old post that's a prediction

Gives his unbiased opinion

And repeat

Its a tight division so far, win against Wigan and we're right up there. But we just don't look able to perform consistently. Early days though

Seems that there’s a few higher in the pecking order than Wednesday this season. That said it’s early days and the Championship is a fantastic League, a great equaliser,  and half of the teams in it could qualify as a Prem League mk 2

I still think there is a bit to consider in the commentators comments, whether you lot like the opinion coming from a blade is irrelevant, but it's still a valid consideration.

Wednesday's squad is the oldest in the league and this may well prove as a negative in weeks where games come thick and fast. A decent win at Boro was followed by an underwhelming effort against an average Hull team.

Perhaps Monk has to look at bringing a few younger legs in, whether it be from the academy, or in the January window.

As I said earlier, we won't win all our away games, two out of three isn't a bad return, if we get something v Wigan at home the damage of that defeat last night is limited, we created enough chances to win it despite a below par performance, top 6 is still possible.

Again another comical, ill-educated reply.

We can forgive Dean Henderson whole hearted, he has been absolutely fantastic  for us. He redeemed himself just a few minutes later in making himself big and keeping out a clear one-on-one.

As for the price tag dispute, well again you look a bit silly. He's OPTA rated as one of the best keepers in the Premier League at the minute. His save percentage is joint best in the league.

The lad is raw and mistakes will happen, as with any goalkeeper at any club. With the rain and zip of the pitch, that could have happened to literally anyone and you know it. A full Bramall Lane knew this, hence why they sang his name out loud afterwards and at full time.

Our 1-0 loss again one of the finest teams in the world won't take much digesting, in fact it is done.  Wednesday's abject performance against a poor Hull team however, think you lot need to go back to the drawing board with the Top 6 aspirations.

Always looks like he's got an error in him, and has made some. But Good shot stopper (not that I see him play much). Bit like Westwood in that regard, who's made a few clangers himself

Not sure age has anything to do with it. I just don't think our squad/team is good enough. We don't have a left back and no real out and out scorer (certainly not one who's scored regularly for us).

Very poor up front. Big Dave and winnall missed a decent chance each. Should of been a winable game. Need to beat Wigan really as I can't see us getting  much change from the two games after that

What happens when Fozzi is fit, does he walk back in seamlessly? It's been a long time since he was a wednesday regar, but he has ridiculous talent and would be a huge improvement up top.

Needs someone to get the best out of him like Carlos in his first season. Crazy not to use him

Once we got past halfway line,we didnt seem to have options, stray passes allover and no set peices to profit off.Looked fine defensively just switched off the once after a sub,and bingo sub scores very poor.

Had enough chances, have to say that Harris has gone right off the boil and Murphy when he came on offered WAY more going foreward and the game really swung owards the owls, but too little to late,in truth the forewards arent good enough,no movement,no invention, no idea how to finish,it was game over once eves scored and i think we all knew it

To be fair to Harris the ball always seemed to be played down the opposite side so he was a bit isolated.

He hasn't shown anything like his first season for a while so I don't know. Only Fletcher seems to be doing the business though while he's served his suspension so has to be given a good chance in the team not an appearance here and there
