WOW...Me along with a few others never knew that..!..

What Chain?

How come you knew?

It's on companies house, although there's a fair bit of digging to do.

The people might actually know or be related though so there's probably some truth to the tale.

Looks like they had a business together started in the late 80's, John left in the 90's a couple of years after setting up his own business.

The other Crawshaw continued and left the business 3 or 4 years ago, the chain then collapsed late last year.

Perhaps the people who took over didn't run it correctly?

Colin expanded the business to become Crawshaws chain before selling up and buying a golf course.

John continued to run the Stocksbridge shop and a couple of others.

Their sister Barbara was fancied by about 50% of the population of Stocksbridge and surrounding area.

Yea the business that Colin sold was separate to the one John currently runs.

JWCrawshaw was incorporated in the late 90's, with John as a director.  (Colin was never listed as a director of this company)  I assume that is the same company that own and operate the Yellow John Crawshaw butchers shops?

Crawshaw Group PLC is the one Colin sold (and subsequently collapsed)

From their date of birth I'm guessing they're brothers?
