Just a couple of stats to put our minds at rest :)

Liverpool have won their last :

15 Premier league games

12 games against newly promoted clubs

Nowt to worry about.

All stats are not 100% win are they

Blades 1 - 0 Liverpool

Blades to sneak an early goal and then to defend like mad for 88 minutes

I’m afraid the stats are for the number of games they’ve won on the bounce.

And obviously they’re the champions of Europe.

When Spurs came to Hillsborough on 12 November 1960 their league record for the season was W15 D1 L0 but that became W15 D1 L1, so take heart.

I was there and me a Blade !

Think the North Stand area was open land and there were still 60000 in the ground

Knew what a sardine in a tin felt like stood on the Leppings Lane end

Everybody as far as I can remember entered and exited without a problem, unlike events of recent years and weeks !

It was a bit tight on the kop too. If I remember rightly, reserve team GK Roy McLaren played in the match and made a fantastic save at the Leppings Lane end.

Their run has to end sometime. If your going to upset the top teams it's likely to be at home so who knows. No one will of given Norwich a chance the other week against city but still came through to win.

It's a free hit really, in your shoes I'd rather us go for it abit and lose even if it turns out to be a heavy defeat

Hi Jim, were the Owls scorers Griffin and Fantham ?

Did Spurs score, can't remember

My cousin's husband, a mad Wednesdayite couldn't get in along with hundreds more

He said the ground was half full of Unitedites wanting to see the match !

Fantham got the winner but I don't remember who else scored. It finished 2-1.

Found it on the internet. It was Billy Griffin, and Maurice Norman for Spurs.

I just hope Liverpool do not get one of those penalties that they got last time they were here at the Lane. When the ref gave them one because the defender THOUGHT about fouling Gerrard losing us two points which could have kept us up .Then Man UTD fielded a bunch of kids against West Ham who had that guy called Treves what ever his name was who should not have been playing and who scored the winner at Old Trafford that  kept them up and people wonder why I do not like the Prem.
