Consequences Of Brexit [Part 8] Read First Post Before Posting

Groose

Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

There was no result to implement.

It was an advisory referendum where not only did neither side attract the support of even 40% of the electorate, but there was only 1% between the two options. As I have said many times, it was an act of great political cowardice to promise to leave the EU based on that inconclusive, discredited referendum, not least because every poll before and since has shown that the majority of citizens wish to remain in the EU.

You continue to spout meaningless irrelevant loser no democratic rhetoric. On 24th June 2016  when David Cameron resigned as Prime Minister it was made perfectly clear the advice to leave the EU which the democratic people gave was intended to be accepted. This advice was put into law when Article 50 was triggered after Parliament gave their permission to do so.

Corbyn is an absolute joke. I won't support an election until no deal is off the table, how rediculous. How's about let the public decide how they want Brexit to go with the election. Everyone will know the different party's stance on how they want us to leave so let us decide or does he know he will struggle to win after all that boasting labour are ready for it

You're absolutely correct.   What is happening at the moment is absolutely shameful. The opposition parties sole aim is to block whatever the Government of the day wishes to do, but refuse to allow a General Election to take place which would give the democratic UK people a chance to choose a different Government.   The sad thing is that many good honest people aren't going to even bother voting in future elections as a consequence of the shameful dishonest behaviour of the current rogue Parliament.

54 per cent of the British public now wish to abide by the result of the referendum and Leave the EU, according to the biggest Poll on Brexit since June 2016.

The EU - Love it or Leave it. (We definitely don't Love it).

Yes it's shown the true colours of a few of them that's for sure

Settle Brexit then go for GE whenever.

Thats the logical way forward.Brexit is but one major issue and should be debated and voted upon as a single issue.

There is no appetite for another referendum in the country, either in Parliament or among the public.

The 'Peoples Vote' campaign has failed to attract the support of a single Leaver of any importance.  Indeed, its most visible spokesman has been Tony Blair.

Say no more.

Really?

A public relations company which seems to specialise in polling for the Telegraph and Express which goes against all other polling on Brexit.

And surprise, surprise when you click on the pdf to see the questions asked and the methodology used, you get............nothing! 🤣😂🤣

It could have been very different if the Remain campaign had been honest and open, then we would have known what to expect from the wealthy establishment when Leave won the decisive vote.

Back in 2016 the establishment elite could have informed us that if the referendum result was to Leave, then further referendums would be held until a Remain result was achieved. Then the referendums would cease.

The Government Referendum leaflet should have stated: 'The Government will implement what you decide - but only if you vote to Remain'.

Our membership of the EU is tearing our society apart.

The 'haves' all wish to Remain.

The 'have-nots' wish to Leave.

Curse the EU for bringing chaos and division to our doorsteps!

That’s the first time I’ve been called one of them.

The sad truth is that because of the shenanigans that have happened far too many people will not bother to vote in any future elections.  It's too late to close the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Dunno - the "have-nots" appear to include a large number of Old Etonians, hedge fund managers, currency speculators etc.

You talking about Doris and Rees-Mogg again?
