Consequences Of Brexit [Part 8] Read First Post Before Posting

Vaati

Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

Wasnt there another pointless march by middle class rich people in London today who don't agree with democracy?

In the debate today those opposed to leaving the EU were saying that there could still be a no-deal if a free trade agreement is not reached by 31st December 2020 when the transitional period ends.

Given that ERG member John Barron said cabinet ministers Michael Gove and Dominic Raab told him that was the case in order to get him to support the deal it's entirely reasonable to bring that point up.

It's their democratic right to protest, how can that not be agreeing with democracy? Or should they not be allowed to march? Would that strengthen our democracy?

No. There was a march by people of all ethnicities, social classes, and religions who wished to protest against the way the Stalinist government of the lying, cheating, sexist, racist, PM, Boris Johnson, has withheld their democratic right to have a say in the negotiated future of the United Kingdom.

Out of interest what percentage on that march do you think were not allowed the right to vote and have a say in the future of the UK in the actual referendum? If it's anything like the remainers on here who shout the loudest it must be fairly high.

Unfortunately there is a view that's been articulated by a certain poster that the only demonstrations which are viable are the ones in which the horny handed sons of toil do the marching.

Good job then that the Suffragettes demonstrated for equal suffrage in the Victorian era, because had they done so today; the sneerers would be carping about 'middle class, hysterical women' getting uppity

Why would the people on this thread on SF be anything like the demographic of the people on the march?

Forums like this are - for better or worse - mainly used by an increasingly shrinking group of older people. Younger people are much more likely to be found on facebook, twitter and similar social media.

You ask me to speculate and then speculate yourself - I reserve the right to deal in facts - something that may be alien to you as a beleaver.

So I prefer not to answer.

So by sending an unsigned letter to the EU, Boris is breaking the law.

Hope he doesn't bend over too far when he picks up the soaps in the prison showers!

Otherwise he will feel what the majority of the UK have felt from him!

In this country almost anyone can demonstrate and voice their views but as far as the application of democracy is concerned only those who are allowed to vote on the issues presented are the ones who can help to change democracy as voting is the only way, unless....
