Consequences Of Brexit [Part 8] Read First Post Before Posting

Vaati

Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

This session of parliament is now the longest since the early 18th century and it’s got to end eventually. Having listened to MPs from both sides and others I now can’t see what all the trouble is.

Parliament is usually closed for 4 or 5 days to start a new session and the Queen's speech. Boris wants to close it for that many weeks. If it was just about starting a new session there's no reason for it to take longer than it usually does.

If they need more time to debate Brexit why not just cancel the ridiculous party conferences?

They are just back from a recess then they all pile off to the seaside to make speeches and pointless promises they have no intentions to keep.

I’m looking forward to the Tory conference.

It should be spectacular.

The only person I know who voted leave for a sensible reason, did so because he believed that it would destroy the Tory party.

With Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davison threatening to quit he may well be right. 😂

“Scottish Tory leader Davidson 'on verge of quitting”

I really don’t understand why people are getting so out of kilter with the prospect of a new session of parliament. If it’s because it’s made it harder to stop brexit then they parliament have had Over 3 years stalling and they also had 3 chances to have got a deal and blew it. The people of this country are fed up to the back teeth with this useless parliament.

We can set the scene by mentioning this thread starts with the outrage at Dictator Boris....

I'm still amused by posters who wanted to take back control thinking that removing control from Parliament is in fact, democracy...

Are you that scared of democracy? Not seen a reply from you and wouldnt want you to "forget" this with a new thread...

Democracy is delivering the result of the referendum. What is undemocratic is trying to stop Brexit.

because its nothing to do with what you said and all about Boris and his right wing dictatorship, hypocrisy, a lack of parliamentary sovereignty, a lack of democrasy all to sneak brexit in via the back door...it stinks.

Not to the point of circumnavigate our tried and tested parliamentary checks and balances.

What Johnson is doing is taking a big dump on our democratic system. You want a load of new mps to rubber stamp a no deal.

Put it this way, if prime minister corbyn pulled the same stunt to do something you don't like, would you accept it?

They parliament have had over 3 years trying to stop brexit all together. So saying that this is sneaking brexit in by the backdoor is ridiculous.

It's a numbers thing and Johnson, like May before him, hasn't got them. That's how our system works. If he wants to push a no deal through - and that's all that's left - then he needs to fill his benches with mps with the same idea he has. It's that simple.

He hasn't got the ******** to do that so he's cheating.
