Consequences Of Brexit [Part 8] Read First Post Before Posting

Vaati

Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

Why should our membership of the EU protect manufacturing jobs now or in the future when it hasn't protected them in the past?

Because much of our remaining manufacturing is interdependent on European suppliers and markets.

We attract overseas investment because we have had  a relatively stable and skilled workforce and all importantly tariff free access to European markets.

Reminds me of “what did the Romans ever do for us”

The EU and the Monarchy are two institutions that are outdated, distant, unapproachable, and operating on quite another level to ordinary decent people.

The UK must dump both of them into the dustbin of history. Good riddance.

As above by RJRB.

You have no idea how modern manufacturing and engineering business operates.

What line of work are you in?

Or what the EU didn't,

"The EU is good for British Industry? Oh no it isn’t!

Anyone think the EU is good for British industry or any other business simply hasn’t paid attention to what has been systematically asset-stripped from the UK over the last 47 years. "

A link to a Brexit company website?

I'm sure that's entirely factual, and not in the least bit biased.

Even that article says the decline of UK manufacturing is not entirely down to the EU, blaming UK government failures also.

Funnily, it completely fails to mention that the same economic forces it's complaining about, are responsible for companies like McLaren, moving chassis production, from Austria, to Rotherham.
