Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

Let's have a Brexit general election in December!

Or are the Remainers frit?

On one of the news channels they had a report from Broxtowe  and those interviewed wanted a General Election. The MP for Broxtowe  is Anna Soubry the leader of CHANGE-UK,  who doesn't want a General Election  because she says nothing will change after a General Election. Anna Soubry is wrong because the democratic people of Broxtowe will have a change of MP after the General Election.

Most Remainer MPs demand that another referendum takes place before a general election (a referendum without the option to vote for a no deal Brexit BUT with an option to vote for the already rejected Remain). But a referendum can never happen in this zombie Parliament, it has very little support - apart from a few anti-democracy extremists.

The EU didn't protect us from the sale of council houses.  The EU exists to protect four basic freedoms for business.

Let's get Brexit done then we can all sit down with a nice cuppa.

Why should the Opposition Alliance want that? They are the effective government with a majority. They can control the Parliamentary timetable at will. Time to live up to reality.

They should do it to break the Brexit deadlock and because the Tories are already campaigning for a general election. Controlling the parliamentary timetable of a zombie Parliament appears to most voters that just want to get Brexit done is that they are more concerned with drawing their salaries than breaking any impasse.

Anna Soubry was elected to Parliament for a five year term.

She is entitled to serve that term.

A weak government is exactly what we need right now. Johnson and his maniac cronies can only pass legislation which is approved by all sides of the house. This consensus led government is exactly what we need.

Letting Corbyn or Johnson loose with a majority, could be very damaging.

Let’s stick with our current, democratically elected parliament.

Actually she wasn't, and also isn't entitled to serve the full term. She was elected to serve for up to five years under the fixed term parliament act or until parliament is dissolved, whichever is the sooner.

But the fixed term parliament act makes five years the expected norm.

The only way that it can be fewer than five years is with the consent of the opposition.

Its the law. No more to add.

The Tory voters of Browtowe  expected to have Tory MP for a five year term because the Tory candidate won the Browtowe  seat at the 2017 General Election.

Do you mean to tell me that the UK government doesn't have to blindly follow the EU ?

Because that would mean we never gave up sovereignty in the first place.

What is on the ballot paper first? The person or the party? If it was just the party and nothing else, then why have the persons name on the ballot paper?
