Consequences Of Brexit [Part 8] Read First Post Before Posting

Vaati

Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

You said 'hundreds of years' , many of those included typhoid. And-or child labour.

This obsession with ww2 is weird.

So you think people who voted remain are snowflakes, that we are weak, that it's shameful what we are doing...

And you really expect us to fall into line and make the best of a situation? Like the blitz spirit?

With your attitude if we were in an air raid shelter I'd bayonet you and throw you out to make more space. No time for people using divisive language like you.

I don't think people who voted remain are snowflakes and are weak. I voted to remain. The people who are snowflakes, weak and shameful  are those who don't respect the democratic decision the majority made and seek to cheat the majority  of their own people out of their democratic choice.

I'd rather not share  an air raid shelter with people who have no pride for their own country and don't respect democracy.

Truly frightening thinking, especially that line about spreading discontent amongst the weak. You sound deranged and dangerous.

It's truly frightening you consider a person who respects the democratic wishes of the majority as deranged.  It's even more frightening  the number of people who live in Britain in 2019 that don't respect democracy or respect the wishes of their own people who voted the opposite way to themselves.

Another one for Cardoor to ignore

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-20/brexit-backer-s-fortune-surges-on-building-boom-as-u-k-wavers

Quote

Bamford, 73, joins Jim Ratcliffe and Peter Hargreaves among the ranks of billionaire Brexiteers. His fortune has surged as anxiety mounts over the U.K.’s departure from the EU, spurred by Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s “do or die” threat of taking the nation out of the trading bloc without a deal next month.

Dont worry Cardoor ive made the interesting bit BOLD

and a bit more

Bamford declined to comment through a spokesman. He and JCB were among Johnson’s biggest donors in the run up to his becoming Conservative Party leader in July, giving more than $100,000 this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Other backers included Mayfair private members’ club owner Robin Birley, India-born billionaire Lakshmi Mittal and Peter Cruddas, founder of London-based spread-betting company CMC Markets, filings show.

You seem very militantly socialist (on a schoolboy level) but seem to be happy to be on the same side as these billionaires donating millions of cash to the tories.....hmmmmm

Despite EU regulations protecting UK citizens from the worst of Thatcherite excesses? 😳

Tell that to all those out of work  miners , steelworkers and their families, what did the EU do for them? In fact,European countries contributed to the misery by selling coal and steel cheaply to British manufacturing.

Pretty sure the coal was from Poland who didn't join the EU until 2004. Thatcher was more than happy to import it.

What did you expect them to do?

The cheap coal being sold cheaply to British manufacturing, largely came from Poland, Ukraine and Bulgaria.

The final paragraph says it all (everything we have been saying for the past 3...4? years?)

Traditionally, the Conservative Party relied on various sectors of industry and small businesses for its political funding, but most of these have decried a ‘no deal’ Brexit as bad for business. By contrast, Boris Johnson remains heavily reliant on one of the few sectors – hedge funds, foreign exchange and derivative trading –

which could actually profit from a sudden decline in share prices or the fall of sterling.

Here in South Yorkshire, the EU spent a huge amount of money, on projects including the AMP at Waverley.

Not just grants to get it going, but research funding to keep it going.

Thanks EU! :)

In post #3288 you said that you were applying for Italian citizenship and moving everything out to the EU. Your exact words were "sod the UK".

So who's this "us" you refer to?

Although with the AMP being established in 2001 it was well after Thatcher and too late for most made redundant in the 80's.
