Consequences Of Brexit [Part 8] Read First Post Before Posting

Vaati

Mod Note: As we are getting rather tired of seeing reports about this. The use of the word Remoaners  is to cease. Either posts like adults, or don't post at all. The mod warnings have been clear.

In addition to remoaner we are also not going to allow the use of libdums or liebore - if you cannot behave like adults and post without recourse to these childish insults then please refrain from posting. If you have a problem with this then you all know where the helpdesk is.

Funny that, because the ball on the backstop is firmly back in Johnson’s hands after Merkel gave him 30 days to come up with an alternative.

Statements from Europe and Amber Rudd’s interview today suggests that there has been absolutely no engagement with the EU so I’m not entirely sure how the EU can back down on something which is not up for discussion.

I suspect that Leavers are starting to see their great white hero Johnson as rapidly become a busted flush.

No chance.

Brexit doesn't meet any of the criteria in the Act.

One of the first laws of politics is never to give yourself more power than you would like the other side to have. Labour broke this rule in 2004, when it passed this act. Can you imagine the irony if it was used against them.

It won't be used because Brexit doesn't constitute a national emergency within the meaning of the Act.

Simple really.

Seriously, out of the three scenarios which constitutes an “emergency” which one do you think we fall into for this Act to be exercised.

As a bonkers Trump supporter I assume that he thinks that Congress refusing to give him money to build his crappy wall was justification for using emergency powers to spend military funds on the wall. 😂🤣😂

The Act defines “emergency” as just about anything the authorities may dislike. Take your pick. Remainer's are an extreme danger to democracy at the minute.

Trump also has friends in Europe who hold a veto over any extension. Poland anyone!! 😂 You have gone quiet on Trump lately. Almost like you were a bunch of conspiracy theorists who were wrong on everything!!

Tomorrow will be fun!!

It's like going back 10 years or so and "debating" with 9/11 truthers who  maintained that Newtons Third Law would mean an airliner would bounce  back off the twin towers.

I'm sure he'll come up with a Daily Mail source soon or possibly a Daily Express one, might be behind the warning for the worst winter in history though. I've got October the 15th on the work (well, now ex-work 😐)  sweepstake on the Express warning, 50 quid in it :)
