Answering the last couple of posts about another referendum from the end of the last thread the options would be the same as before.

 

Leave or stay.

 

However if a Remain party or coalition won an election then the whole sorry mess could be sacked off altogether by simply revoking Article 50.

I didnt suggest that Abott, Labour or anyone else take up arms, or as you define coup "use sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government." However others on here are suggesting otherwise.

 

Just to add, Boris is doing neither but using his legal powers given to him as PM. The Queen has accepted his request and now we have wee Krankie and others using the Scottish legal system trying to circumvent her Maj's decision.

But like Bilge said it (the options) would have to be leave without a deal, or stay wouldn't it?  This is likely to tip the vote towards 'stay', because many 'leavers' want to leave- but only with a deal in place. So then, although the country has voted to stay, negotiations to leave must carry on, to try to reach a deal, because the majority may still wish to leave the EU!?!

Doesnt this mean that the UK or other EU member can only ever likely leave the union if they are prepared to jump off a cliff into the unknown?

If they need more time to debate Brexit why not just cancel the ridiculous party conferences?

Not true!

 

It is absolutely vital that Labour’s September conference takes place and passes a motion to say that Labour is fully in favour of remaining in the EU and will campaign as such.

 

Then Corbyn will have to suck it up or stand down

This session of parliament is now the longest since the early 18th century and it’s got to end eventually. Having listened to MPs from both sides and others I now can’t see what all the trouble is.
