Offhandedly! Really?

What I actually did was ask the poster what the relevance was, given that this was a thread about Mountbatten’s attempt to conspire against the Wilson government. I still don’t have a reply.

But you was the one who mentioned his assassination in the first place. That had nothing to do with the plot to remove Wilson either.

Ruined a few as well by the look of things in social media... Reckon mount batten was fond of young boys 🤔

That's one of the problems with social media,  some people read about shocking sensational scandals in the gutter press and believe everything.

To be fair, claims that Mountbatten was involved in child sexual abuse pre-date social media by about thirty years! 😵

A bit like your post on Archduke Ferdinand's assassination in 1947, lol. That was 33 years out of date.

I think you’ll find that Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914!

Yeah I know that, I had two grandfathers fight in the ensuing war. I look back now and I see that I took your earlier post out of sync. I honestly thought you said that in 1947, when Archduke what's his face was assassinated. I missed the break in sentences. Sorry about that.

I haven't  opened the link because I never open a link,  but I often wonder why Harold Wilson who craved power so much and always wanted to be PM just stood down and quit suddenly. My wife and I always wondered if he had been threatened with a hitman ?

I understand Harold Wilson was the pm that sent British troops to northern Island in 69.

A brave move for anyone-considering the pontetial consequences from over there.

It would seem plausible considering the decision to send the troops, but we will probably never know.
