The Big 38.

Recommended Posts

Apparently the magic number for top flight survival!

We all knew it wasnt going to be easy, but with Wilder in the hot seat...anything is possible.

Norwich had a rude awakening of how tough this league is against liverpool last night, but all things said and done, they still gave a good account of themselves.....

So let the countdown begin!

38 to go.

Ok it was 4.0 at half time, but Liverpools defence  was all over the place, a better team than Norwich could have given  them a lot more to think about.

Not a bad return for the target really, just 4 games in and already 5 points on the board.

Carry on at a 1ppg average and we have achieved what we wanted this season fingers crossed. The big games are probably going to be fruitless, so it is vital that we pick up points against mid to lower league teams. Bramall Lane has to be an absolute fortress.

In Wilder We Trust!.....

Good start, but very early days. Rather be 10th than where Vile and Norwich are

I don't think united will have any problem staying up, take away the top 2 (most likely Man City, Liverpool) and the rest are fairly average, even Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal don't look anything special this time around, Spurs and Leicester look about the pick of the rest, mid table easily.

Out of the "fairly average "teams you mention, one made Last years Champions league final and 2 more contested the Europa league final. The rest of Europe must be proper useless:)

If the Blades stay up most will agree it will have been a good season. Mid table would make it a remarkable one.

We're not talking about last season though, Arsenal were totally outclassed by Liverpool recently and Chelsea will finish lower than they have for years if they keep their current manager, I mentioned Spurs as being one that will do ok.

You have to remember, whatever league the Blades do well in is always 'the weakest the league has been for years.' ;)

Dead lucky us Blades . The championship was the hardest league in the world until we rocked up .

And now its a poor league this season bar Fulham & that other Yorkshire team, any half decent team will be up there

The comment wasn't a dig at United more a compliment that they are better than a lot of the cannon fodder thats in the Prem, the fact that some of the usual suspects are underperforming is fact, look at the results so far, early days but the signs are there.

The bladesalona taking over the footballing world, watch out Man U, Liverpool Madrid Ajax Inter.. there’s a new big boy in town and they are takin over the world didn’t you know.

Pah.. Roy of the rovers fairytale stuff. It will come crashing down around that monotonous clown wilder and the relegation battle will be fought, valiantly but ultimately empty handed.

Enjoy it while it lasts, I can sense another Bolton/Portsmouth coming on.
