Garage Roof Advice Please

Recommended Posts

I have a double garage, my workshop, which is about 15 years old, a prefab concrete section one. The roof is corrugated sheets, which years ago would have been asbestos, (but not actually asbestos on mine).. Some cracks have appeared on some of the 'dips', allowing rain to drip in... but the inside has been insulated. Obviously, the real way to repair would be to simply re-roof with new sheets...but I need a cheaper option, and one I can do and carry on using the workshop. I have tried painting on sealant with limited success....so now, I am asking...What could I do with it? Grateful for any (sensible) advice.

I have an extension with a flat roof and the only thing that I have ever found to work is Isoflex. This is rubber based rather than bitumen based, and as such is less prone to cracking.

It is quite dear but it works. Check out Screwfix who occasionally have the 4.5 litre tubs of it for £25 (instead of the usual £60-£70)

And remember to clean the surface properly before applying anything. 👍

Acrypol is also another great product, coat it over the cracks and it will solve your problem.
