But I can do it.! I can also fit Gas central heating, fix broken Boilers, I can do roofing, fix gutters, joinery, masonry work, re-pointing, brick laying...Fit a whole new kitchen or bathroom and Tile them too...... Non of which I am Legally allowed to do.! Apart from in / or on my own properties.! These days you have to have a Certificate for just about everything.! Which is not in the interest of the workers. It's more peace of mind for the folks paying for that service. Which I think is fair enough. Someone once said..."It's not what you know...It's WHO you know"... FORE 12 #470 Posted July 30, 2019 It will depend on the number of appliances to be included. Gas safe guys are likely to prefer a longer job rather than one that probably takes up to an hour. I used to get 3 together for about 3x£45 from a friend. Hopefully more recommendations will come for you in time for mid August, but don't let it run out!! https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&ei=U5NAXdDDK-HCxgOb46nIBw&q=gas+safety+certificate+cost+sheffield&oq=gas+safety+certificate+cost+she&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.33i22i29i30l2.42316.45909..48092...0.0..0.146.523.1j3......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71j0j0i22i30j0i13.ldZg4HeUcaA
 Share this content via...

Hayley441 0 #475 Posted August 2, 2019 We'd like to recommend Whitecliffe Builders (http://www.whitecliffebuilders.com) after recent work they carried out for us. We needed a small outbuilding insulating, making more habitable, new electrics, etc. We are ever so happy with the results and have been left with a usable, warm and cosy space. Martin and Dale carried out the majority of work for us. They really were absolutely fantastic, working extremely hard in over 30 degree temperatures, and always left the place clean and tidy at the end of each day. They were a pleasure to have around. Whitecliffe are very lucky to have them as part of the team! Eric was super, and visited daily to check progress and update us if needed. We felt confident in the whole process from start to finish. We can't recommend them enough and thanks for everything.
 Share this content via...

Basically I need it tidying up. The electrics are there, they just need sockets and wiring tidying up. Apart from that, some plaster board and cement to tidy the walls. Can anyone recommend someone trust worthy to do this small / medium sized job please? Did you find someone, can you recommend anyone, please? Jeddo 10 #478 Posted August 9, 2019 Hi I've been given the name of a roofing company, and I have seen their work, it looks good. However the satisfied customer only gave me their name to Google, as they didn't have the number at the time. It was DMJ Roofing in Sheffield. I've Googled the name but they are only coming up on Google with a Twitter account, and I don't have a Twitter account, and it doesn't have any contact details on the search page coming up, like phone number, email etc. Can anyone help with their contact details. I need a roof before the rains come!
 Share this content via...
danchill 10 #479 Posted August 14, 2019 Hi I'm looking to get a timber suspended floor insulated from above (not accessible from below). Also looking to get floor bounce fixed at same time. Anyone had this done or recommendations?
 Share this content via...
danchill 10 #480 Posted August 21, 2019 As per title. Also needs insulating, but realise not many companies will have experience of fixing the bounce and insulation, so wiling to do the insulating with a specialist company. As a side note, is this sort of work the work of a carpenter/joiner or builder? Not sure what type of traders I should be asking. Cheers Dan
 Share this content via...
