I’m not sure that they would be able to watch Look North as I believe that electricity and gas have been cut to some of the affected areas of the town.

The point was your posts on this subject are ill informed and frankly - a bit odd.

So what has that got to do with people in Whaley Bridge watching Look North?

I thought not. They don’t have Look North in Derbyshire, they have East Midlands Today. 🙄

Not all areas in Derbyshire.

Some are still north enough to be within the Look North catchment.    Other parts are so far west that they fall within the North West Tonight catchment area.

It really is best to do some fact checking particuarly if you are going to resort to the roll eyes emoji.

The bulk of Derbyshire including the city of Derby is in the East Midlands Tonight region of the BBC. 🙄

That it seems you have based your views on their (or similar programmes) content.

It concerns me that contributors are discussing the town of Whaley Bridge without knowing where it is.

Its on the west facing slopes of the Peak and it is right on the Cheshire(East) border.

Before digital you could watch Welsh TV on S4C it is so far west,

The correct postal address was Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire near Stockport, Cheshire.

The County town is Matlock.

The River Goyte flows through the town and through a very deep gorge at New Mills(Thats why both Sheffield lines are closed)and then into then into the Mersey.

The old A6 between London/Derby and Manchester/Carlisle ran through town.

Public transport comes under Greater Manchester.

The local BBC is Look North from Salford.

To even suggest that there is any link between Whaley and the East Midlands is really silly.
