I started in 1955, names remembered, Janet Dowling, Elaine Bools, Pauline Hogg - I was Patricia Thompson - any one else remember these?

 I attended  Whitby Road County Girls School from September 1951-1955. We then immigrated to NewZealand. I distinctly Remember my first day crying my heart out and being slapped around the legs and told I was a big girl now, and to stop crying. We lived in Fitzmaurice Rd., there was another school nearer to where we lived but it was considered to be a bit rough.

I remember a Norma pegg would smith be her married name, she lived off shirland lane at the canal end

Anyone out there who remembers me, Diane Capps? Left Whitby road school 1959 and remember Miss Sarson and Miss Clarke.

We lived on Nightingale street before moving to the Littledale estate.
