There appears to be a  reluctance in this country   to prescribe testosterone to men.

The 'get out' is aways "your levels are normal for a man of your age" What use is it having the levels of a man of 60 or 70 if he has the interest of a man much younger.

This is quite a good article from Dr Mark Porter on the issue of Testosterone Replacement Therapy. In it he highlights the pros and cons:

Potential worrying side-effects range from acne and aggression to reduced fertility and an increased risk of prostate cancer and heart disease. However, the evidence is conflicting, with some research suggesting that TRT protects against heart disease.

Quite a negative article, the arguments were similar to females getting HRT.

A total different outlook when it comes to getting HRT - "You can normally begin HRT as soon as you start experiencing menopausal symptoms and won't usually need to have any tests first."
