Still classed as on public highway

Just offering clarification is all.

It might be cheaper just to insure it with the cheapest 3rd party you can find, garages are hard to come by.

Does your insurance company offer you a monthly payment scheme?

Unless you live on a main street you'll get away with it for a few weeks.

My neighbour had three un-taxed vehicles on my road at one point, took about 6 months for the DVLA to finally come out with clamps.

I’m not sure, but as far as I know the DVLA can now only be contacted on 0300 numbers which can cost up to 40p a minute. Given that it is a menu driven system, meaning that you will be charged to wait in their queue, this could work out quite expensive.

Check with your provider.

Well just had a call from local police turns out my carer had moved it from the agreed place to somewhere else, the land owner has been complaining to them for weeks but no one got in touch with me, now they have asked me to move it and I am not sure what to do, it now has no tax or insurance and I really need to sell it, options, maybe 2 day insurance so a prospective buyer can look at it, its not worth much. having said that the land owner may not give me much time, but the police were aware for weeks., tx

carer and keys not in country till next week

It might be worth checking this but I believe that although the police may have asked you to move the car, they have absolutely no authority to force you to do it.

I for one, do not pay council tax for the police to act as private enforcement agents for landowners. Don’t be rushed into doing something because of this call.

Ok, that is what advice they gave the landowner, they couldn't do anything but notify me, obviously I need to speak to him/her, maybe offer small donation to charity, police took ages, still need to sort it though

can the mods merge these threads, to updated one?
