Deer Park Flats Stannington ? good or bad

Asking for a friend who's been offered a flat on Deer park high rise in stannington is area is OK  . what's around area for older people etc

It depends which block they are going in. One block is full of drug addicts and alcoholics, but the other two blocks are fine. It’s a good area for pensioners.

I have been in one of the blocks a few times-very well insulated-hence extremely low gas consumption. If there was noise it would bother me wherever I lived , even if it was in Dore for example. Not sure how drug addicts could effect me unless they were trying to break in and steal.

 

I can imagine that in heavy snowfall it would be dificult to get to the blocks unless you had a suitable vehicle as there is a decent hill to ascend.

I've lived in Deer park flats for the last ten years Iv had no trouble at all and love the place

I've lived in the block next to the doctor's for 4 years now. My only gripe is that during the summer it is a bit noisy at night (I am in bed early for an early morning shift).
