How Long Before I Can Plant After Using Weedkiller ?

Recommended Posts

I have to apply some weedkiller to a part of my garden before I plant some hydrangeas. How long should I  wait before planting the hydrangeas.? They are expensive to buy and don’t want to kill them.

Rather than poison your land you ought to consider covering the area with a couple of layers of cardboard then laying compost or aged manure on top.

The hydrangeas can be planted into this and any weeds that do manage to force their way through will be weak and can be easily hoed off.

I think using Roundup (Glyphosate) it's neutralised by soil , so you should be ok to plant straight away. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

A quick Google states you can plant Shrubs the day after application.
