He tapped me on the shoulder and said excuse me mate.

I said do you live here

He replied he did.

I apologised and flex.

Did you turn around to ask him if he lived there whilst in "mid flow?"

I am sure that said fled when I pressed submit reply.

Maybe you were in mid flow and your finger slipped down one on the keyboard, eh? 😚

Cost a lot of money H.  unless of course you are prepared to pay a pound to spend a penny.

We holiday in Scotland, been in plenty of toilets with a 20p entry. Attendant is on full time duty, say 8 -5 and toilets are always clean with toilet paper and hand washing materials. Seems to work fine for them. What you do outside of these hours, I don't know.

Yet so many parents teach their offspring to pee in public, by the roadside,up the wall of shops,in between opened car doors in parking bays.

Perhaps it should be the appropriateness of the action, not the action itself.

I have occasionally taken a pee whilst in the fields or forests walking the dogs.

I'm out and about a lot too - and if I'm in the middle of the countryside, not the middle of the city, I merely check there's no-one about, and then do as I need.

If you are asking me, @JamesR123 - if I have to, I will. If I know I'm likely to be out in the countryside for any length of time, I carry a few sheets of loo-roll and wet-wipes and a plastic bag to carry those home. The 'deposit' will biodegrade in a reasonably short time, and is made well away from paths, so little risk of anyone stepping in it.

Dock Leaves were everywhere when I was a kid. We often went out all day as kids in the 50,s in a rural kind of area, and of course one had to go at times. So Dock Leaves were the go to toilet paper. After all it was softer then the newspaper we had to use a home. Lol

Open air defecation? I think we can all be glad we don't live in India!
