whitelion   10 #1 Posted July 8, 2019 Tues 9th July: Break A Leg / Mums In Need music fundraiserJig For a Kiss An eight-piece multi-instrumental band with six voices, playing foot-stomping, heart-warming, uplifting music from traditional roots around the world. Should be a riotous end to the evening following some more laid back music from our other guests.https://jigforakiss.band/  Shaun Hutch A really fine singer and interpreter of folk songs and he writes some lovely stuff too. Shaun is a real trouper, he supports and promotes other musicians, organises events and is extremely generous so it's easy to overlook that he is one of Sheffield's most engaging performers.  Fretworks Break a Leg! won't be playing this month as Chris has gone off somewhere (he'll be back). Malcolm and Shaun are consummate guitarists and singers and we are really pleased to have them standing in for us in the resident band spots and helping Karen run the evening. There is no charge for admission but we will be collecting for Mums In Need, who will be there to tell you about their work, so please come with a generous spirit and cash. Mums in Need is a small Sheffield charity which supports mums who have left emotionally/mentally abusive relationships and want to rebuild their lives. They help mums to feel more confident and in control of their situation and gain an understanding of exactly what they can do to help themselves and their children.https://www.facebook.com/MumsInNeed13/http://mumsinneed.com/ Weds 10th July: Quiz Night The irrepressible Duncan is back with his fiendish but light hearted quiz. 3 rounds of pop culture, music and general knowledge. £30 to be won + spot rounds and the infamous art challenge.
