BurtBackcrak   10 #1 Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) I see the Walkley Cottage is closed for refurbishment after a recent change of ownership. Has anyone any information on the plans? Edited August 1, 2020 by nikki-red spelling mistake! bluecanary   13 #2 Posted July 3, 2019 Any idea how long it's closed for? Hope they're not doing anything too radical - I quite liked its slightly dated charm!
 Share this content via...
ads36 Â Â 214 #3 Posted July 3, 2019 I used to love the Walkley cottage. Â then it closed for refurbishment. Â when it reopened it was open plan, and there wasn't a seat in the house that didn't have direct sight of a least 5 massive screens showing football, more football, continuous football, talking about football, and even more football. Â Â they've probably closed it while they fit some more/bigger screens.
 Share this content via...

It was open at the weekend?  In fact - theres's an event there tonight advertised an hour ago by the Walkley Festival - are you sure it's closed? Edited July 3, 2019 by makapaka Updated. Longcol   598 #10 Posted July 4, 2019 Wonder who that leaves as Sheffield's longest serving licensee?  Pretty sure it was Wardy, and before that Les May at the Hallamshire on Commonside.
 Share this content via...
