Voice of reason   0 #1 Posted June 24, 2019 Our current President, Jean Claude Juncker is due to end his 5 year term. New candidates are being hotly debated amongst parties. Who do the forum prefer as our new President of the EU Commission, leading it for the next 5 years?
 Share this content via...

The man or woman, has to have the credentials and popularity to lead us all. Has to from the current contenders anyway.
 Share this content via...

We could extend again, or even remain. Plus the new president will be in charge, when the next phase is negotiated, if it goes that way. It is the top job. It won't be the best man/woman for the job, anyway - more the one who appears the least shady. L00b   441 #9 Posted June 24, 2019 (edited) If I was really nasty (against the UK, as some on here believe), then Selmayr. God help you if it's him.  But since I'm not, then Merkel, however unlikely that also is. Her track record speaks for itself: there isn't a more capable political leader with as much top level experience of consensus politics in Europe. I dismissed Boris, as I assumed you had already to be in the EU parliament structure to go for the job. I might give it a go, where do you apply?
