Tommy Spurr to retire.

Recommended Posts

Sorry to hear that Tommy Spurr has had to retire through a long term injury. Whist it is not uncommon for players having to retire through injury when they still have a few years left to offer, it is still sad news. All the best Tommy, I really appreciated you when you were an owl. All the best for the future pal.

He'll always be remembered for that goal against United. Always liked him as a player. Shame to have to retire at that age though

2-4 sept 2017. First time a team has scored 4 away from home in a Sheffield derby.

And the world saw it.

Not ancient history either.

( slaps wrist)

Sorry admin, will try harder

And who’s Tommy Spurr ?

Happy retirement anyway

There's always one. I'll never forget Brian Deane scoring a goal. 1893 I think it was. Probably the best goal ever seen apparently.

Or was it 1993 o.n.o?

Some may attract ridicule on this Forum. I didn't think for one minute I'd be one of 'em.

I obviously overestimated the IQ levels of some.

Funny you should mention Brian Deane, Hottie. He scored the first goal in the Premier League I believe. You're right - it was 1992-1993 season against Man Utd..

Don't get down-hearted pal - you're one of the more sensible posters on here.
