lakerman   16 #1 Posted June 11, 2019 Sorry to hear that Tommy Spurr has had to retire through a long term injury. Whist it is not uncommon for players having to retire through injury when they still have a few years left to offer, it is still sad news. All the best Tommy, I really appreciated you when you were an owl. All the best for the future pal.
 Share this content via...

Ridgewalk   101 #9 Posted June 13, 2019 And who’s Tommy Spurr ?  Happy retirement anyway.   Just checked the archives.   Scored goal  which gave Wednesday the first Sheffield double since 1913 😂 and first win at the Lane since 1967 😂  Go you Owls
 Share this content via...
Hotmale 1954   201 #10 Posted June 13, 2019 (edited) There's always one. I'll never forget Brian Deane scoring a goal. 1893 I think it was. Probably the best goal ever seen apparently.  Or was it 1993 o.n.o?  Some may attract ridicule on this Forum. I didn't think for one minute I'd be one of 'em. I obviously overestimated the IQ levels of some. Edited June 13, 2019 by Hotmale 1954
 Share this content via...

You're right - it was 1992-1993 season against Man Utd.. Don't get down-hearted pal - you're one of the more sensible posters on here.
