Try to find one with the same name as yourself.  They will hopefully then get one thing correct.

Chaanah Patton of Taylor and Emmett, Banner Cross.  Highly professional and a nice person. No connection apart from a past client, two of my family estates  administered by her, very satisfied.

If the estate is straightforward, you can do it yourself, quite easily.

I’ve paid a solicitor in the past and spent a lot of time correcting their mistakes. When my Dad died, a few years ago, I administered the estate myself. It was very easy to do and saved my family thousands of pounds.

Have a look at this site, for detailed guidance:

I wouldn't recommend this company from having previous experience with them.

I did offer this advice before, but for some reason my comment was removed?

You don't have to do it through solicitors.  You'll possibly pay more if you do.  I've moved houses about 10 times in the past 30 years and always used the same firm of licensed conveyancers,  they've been fast, efficient and far less expensive than solicitors.  It's "what they do" for a living - they are specialists in conveyancing.  They are based in Chesterfield but serve the whole country.   Link:  http://www.jataft.co.uk/

I think you've misunderstood Derby Tup.  I think Kitty is looking to find somebody to obtain probate for her Dad's estate, not  act in the sale of his property, although this may well include this too.

Conveyancing means to transfer a legal title of property from one party to another.  So it includes this.  We used the same firm of conveyancers to draw up our wills for example.  So, yes, they'll be able to do that.  I probably didn't make myself very clear by just focusing on the house sale aspects of it though - so thanks for checking.
