BBC Bias - "Accidental" Gaffes

Recommended Posts

This morning, live on air, Nicky Campbell referred to "Jeremy <removed>", before quickly correcting himself with "Jeremy Hunt".

Quite amusing but the serious side to this is that, to make that kind of slip on air, it is possibly a reflection of how the presenters talk about him off air. It turns out this has happened several times before, and all to BBC presenters.

Is this further evidence of a pro Labour, anti Conservative BBC?

That’ll be the same Nicky Campbell who, in the lead up to the fox hunting ban, managed a malapropism when referring to the West Kent Hunt. It came out as West Hent ****. Much embarrassment in the studio.

Roll on several months, and again the 5-live breakfast show is covering the fox hunting ban, and again they go over to the West Kent Hunt. A bit of laughter in the studio as his colleagues gently rib NC about his previous mistake. But this time he’s ready. In order to avoid the same mistake. NC decided he would just say “the Hunt”. What could possibly go wrong? Well NC, like a rabbit in the headlights, couldn’t help himself. It still came out as “the ****”.

He must have a verbal blind spot, and the more it happens the worse he gets.

Yes.BBC has turned rancid, time to scrap the licence fee and let them earn their money in the real world. Full of Liberals and Lefties, not fit for purpose now.

The way that the BBC allowed itself to be bullied by Farage and his cronies during the EU election, gives the lie to your claim.

If anything, the BBC is in thrall to the right wingers. It is time that they re-balanced their news output.

No, Jeremy Paxman who openly admitted he's a Conservative made the gaffe. Look it up on You Tube.

Agree with Pettytom's assertion that the BBC has taken a definite rightward shift in the last few years.

Few people that would call themselves right wing would agree with that. The mainstream media, particularly the BBC , in an often quite subtle way, puts across a soft left viewpoint time and time again.

I’ve never been more serious in my life. I made three separate complaints to the BBC about their biased coverage., all backed up with timings to show their bias.

Farage got way more air time than any other party leader. The way that Bruce allowed him to hijack QT was a disgrace too.

The way that Question Time completely altered its format, having the entire panel, including the host, spend 40 minutes focusing on one guest - Nick Griffin was an absolute disgrace. Whatever you think about Nick Griffin, the BBC clearly took the mick there They had to have him on because he was the leader of a party that had recently had some council and European electoral success, but it was an ambush of him.
