Domcritch 10 #1 Posted June 2, 2019 Hi I’m a fairly experienced guitarist based in Sheffield city centre. My background is playing quite heavy riff based music but I’ve recently been trying to get into bluegrass and would love to get some practice jamming some standards. I think I’m fairly proficient at basics and want to improve my fiddle style flatpicking and build up my confidence in improvising. Up for just jamming with a beer or two but have experience in bands so could be up for gigging with the right people. Anybody want to start up or know of any existing groups who are playing this sort of thing? Even any teachers who specialise in this style? WalkleyAndy 10 #3 Posted October 6, 2019 Hi, there is or was a session in Sheffield somewhere. I’ll try and dig up some info. If you do put a band or a jam together any time give me a shout on here, I play double bass and love a bit of ‘grass
 Share this content via...
EmDee 0 #4 Posted October 13, 2019 Hi Domcritch, I'd be up for jamming, have posted on this forum looking for gypsy jazz style sessions but have had no takers. The thing for me is to jam with other musicians at the moment to develop my group playing skills. Let me know if interested. Cheers M
 Share this content via...
Nina Lemon 0 #5 Posted October 14, 2019 I play the tin whistle and I LOVE folk and bluegrass. Would be really cool to do some jamming and learn some new tunes.
 Share this content via...
