We have three Sony Televisions all new’ish all receiving channels through free view all fed from the same aerial, they have been retuned when prompted and again digitally just to make sure but one will still not receive channel 23, a crafting channel, where the others will, followed all retuning instructions but still no channel 23 on this particular T.V. any ideas please.

Did that tv recieve that channel in the past ?

If so id say something has probably alterd signal strength , maybe wind has blow aerial out of alignment !

If that tv has never recieved the channel than it could be at the end of the cable run and have low signal strength.

either a booster of idealy a seperate aerial would likely resolve issue ;)

Yes, this only happend when we were prompted to retune

for a different channel change, so I did all the T.V.'s and this

one lost channel 23.

A tip for tuning your telly.

Do it during the day when there is reasonable weather, and little cloud cover. If the autotuning doesn't pick up and log a station when it scans then you won't pick it up even when signal strength/quality improves, without retuning.

Have you tried retuning?

Check in the 800s ....program down from 1 as some TVs store the extra channels there ....eg if you are picking up Sheffield and emley moor

By the way, does anyone know where C4+1 has gone?

Freeview 13 seems to have vanished! 😵

Sorry swap what with one of the others.

I have just read, unplug the arial retune the TV it finds no channels

turn the TV off then on again plug in the arial and retune this sets the TV

back to factory setting with a clear memory.

We pick up Emley Moor.

Done this we had 76 channels now we have 150 channels and

low and behold no 23 is back, apparently tuning with out an arial does

clear or reset it's memory.

So thanks for the surgestions, it seem's to have worked.

We have three Samsung TVs, and like yours, all fed from the same aerial. For a year or two one of them wouldn't receive Channel 81 (Talking Pictures) despite several retunes. Suddenly it was there, don't know how but it's been there ever since.

There was a retune for this a week or so back there were a few 4 channels that moved,I had to retune 5 times until I got Quest HD back and a week later Aljazeera has a retune message up,what a pain having to redo favourites and recordings again.
