Pubs with a brewery next door?

FYI,  it's been £2:50 a pint for about 9 months now, but it is quality beer and well worth it.

That's quite a steep hike but as you say, still great value for money.

The old Wicker Brewery  -nickname Hole in the Wall- on Savile Street had  a 'brewery' next to it but that place  only brewed  (distilled) vinegar.

In other words ,it brewed Charringtons Toby bitter then.😁

Surely that was better than   anything from Sam Smith's.

Isn't beer relatively cheaper these days than it used to be?

Yes in Poland. :hihi:

And in the UK

The alcohol affordability index shows that alcohol was 60% more affordable in 2015 than 1980, and that affordability rose by 36% between 2005 and 2015. It also shows that having declined between 2007 and 2013 in the wake of the recession and rising alcohol taxes, affordability has begun to rise again

My friend runs the excellent Peerless Brewery.  He opens the brewery tap room the last Friday and Saturday of every month.  It used to be £2 a pint, but now £2.50, but that price will stay fixed for some time to come.

Presumably the increase in affordability relies on the cheap alcohol available in supermarkets rather than the price in pubs.

A pint of bitter in The New Broom pub in Rotherham is £2, and it tastes great. It is a Sam Smiths pub. Quite strong too, two pints of that and I have a hangover, but I`m a lightweight  :)

Its a great place now.  Several micropubs, three breweries (other two are Brimstage and Glen Affric) and a couple of gin distilleries!
