Recommended Posts

Hi got a Bosch dishwasher, appears to be going through cycle but not washing properly. Filters and spinners cleaned, still the same, any ideas?

Clean the spray arm, filter and float.

Yeah done all that. I opened the door when it was running,  and although it then switches the water off, you can see it was spraying and hot too because there was steam in there.

Not sure what I else I can try?

Have you tried running it with one of those concentrated cleaners, the many tubes in these get partly blocked and reduce efficiency, does the water drain away ok ?

Mine goes like that from time to time.

This is what I do:

1. Clean the filters and spray arms.

2. Top up the salt.

3. Top up  rinse aid.

4. Run on a very hot, long cycle using  HG dishwasher cleaner (I think it is called Service Engineer Cleaner, available in B and Q)

Yeah the water drains away. I put a bucket under the waste pipe to see what came out. I'll give the B&Q cleaner a try, thanks.

Has this just happened overnight or has it been gradually been getting worse?

I don't think it was as sudden as overnight, just deteriorated over a couple of weeks. Sounds like everything is working when you run it, just doesn't get things properly clean..

That sounds like something may be broken or blocked.

A gradual build up of limescale or other crud would be very slow and not immediately obvious.
